PARADIGM is a professional network for architects who are passionate about increasing BAME representation within the Built Environment.
We exist to support, encourage, and help talented architects from BAME backgrounds in education and as they progress in their careers. We are also keen to promote the development of BAME-led practices.
We believe that encouraging a more diverse design team reflects the society we live in, and creates a richer society. Architecture can drive the potential to transform people’s quality of life, stimulate the economy, and enhance the environment.
We aim to do this through knowledge sharing & best practice, lobbying ideas in the profession around education and career progression, strategic thinking with external national and international organisational bodies, and collaborative working with industry supporters.
We organise events such as industry-related workshops and presentations, site visits, networking, outreach programmes, and just as importantly, our Socials!
Our members range from Architecture students to experienced Architects, and members from Landscape Architecture and Urban design industries.
We hope you join us by becoming a member
Paradigm has emerged from a review of the needs of the present architectural landscape; drawing inspiration from SOBA and other BAME-in-Construction initiatives
We are always looking for collaborative partners, so please feel free to get in touch and email our team:
