We support

We Support and help talented individuals from Black and Asian backgrounds in their education and as they progress in their careers within the construction industries through knowledge sharing in the network. We are also keen to promote the development of Black and Asian led practices.

We encourage

We Encourage a more diverse design team reflecting the society we live in to creates a richer enhanced built environment. We aim to do this through lobbying ideas in the profession around education and career progression, strategic thinking with national and international organisational bodies, and collaborative work with industry supporters.

We integrate

We aim to Integrate fully the contributions of Black and Asian professionals as providers of architecture and design services. Create visibility for Black and Asian professionals and celebrate their contribution to the profession and industry by providing a mutually beneficial platform between the margins (Black and Asian) and the mainstream.

We bridge

We aim to Bridge between the profession and public organisations through our network by organising industry related workshops, presentations and outreach programmes focused on Black and Asian Initiatives and the application of best practice principles.

  • Encourage;

    and help talented architects from black and asian backgrounds in education and as they progress in their careers promote the development of Black and Asian-led practices.

  • Lift;

    be a source of inspiration to students of architecture who identify themselves as part of the black and Asian Diaspora by sharing experiences and providing pastoral care through mentoring.

  • Educate;

    through a lecture series providing CPD’s from a diverse range of speakers within the architecture profession and beyond, addressing cultural and professional issues.

  • Visibility;

    Promote black and Asian led-practices, their staff and celebrate their contribution to the profession and industry.

  • Assist;

    black and Asian community groups and organisations to articulate their development agenda and needs for the built environment.

  • Talent;

    Foster excellence through programmes providing a framework for black and Asian-led practices to partner up with larger mainstream practices.

  • Eradicate;

    unconscious bias and racial discrimination against Black and Asian professionals within Architecture and the built environment profession; through the development of a mutually beneficial knowledge sharing platform.
